Are you interested in volunteering for Historic Staunton Foundation? Here’s a great opportunity to support both HSF and the Staunton Downtown Development Association !!
On Saturday, March 19, HSF is partnering with Staunton Downtown Development Association (SDDA) to host “Staunton Stories” at the R. R. Smith Center. The event is designed to connect and reconnect Staunton locals with Downtown Staunton as part of their life history.
Staunton Stories is about people. Items will be photographed and digitized and we will video people telling their stories related to the items they bring. The information will live on a public page on the SDDA website and the event will be supported by an exhibit, scheduled for June.
You can help!
SDDA needs volunteers to assist with the event: ushers and greeters, paperwork assistants, video assistant, and scanning station reviewers. (see 2016 Staunton Stories – Request for Volunteers for committment and job descriptions). There is an orientation scheduled from 7-9PM on Friday, March 18 and volunteers are asked to report from 9-2 on Saturday, March 19. Lunch will be provided!
If you are interested in helping, please let Julie know before Monday, March 14. She can be reached at Julie@StauntonDowntown.org or 540.332.3867.
Thank you!
