Brown Bag Preservation Talks and Tours

Educational Series focused on Preservation, Planning, and Neighborhood Revitalization

Please note: Educational programs for the 2021 season are cancelled due to the need for safe distancing. Thank you to the volunteer guides and visitors who made the HSF’s 33rd annual Saturday Walking Tour season a success! Please join us again for programs including the next walking tour season beginning May 2, 2022.

Led by HSF Executive Director Frank Strassler and a host of knowledgeable guest speakers, these informative discussions feature topics that relate to preserving the community, planning, identifying historic architecture, celebrating property rehabilitation, and experiencing neighborhood revitalization. The Brown Bag Talks are generally held on the first Friday of each month at noon in the R.R. Smith Center for History and Art 2nd floor lecture hall. Brown Bag Walks are held during the warmer months of the year, and will meet at various times and locations. All Brown Bag events are casual, free, and open to the public.
