Frazier and Associates revealed its plan for a consolidated court complex just prior to the Augusta County Board of Supervisors vote on whether to move forward with the referendum to relocate the county seat and court facilities to Verona. The new plan incorporates the 1901 Augusta County Courthouse, the existing Cochran Judicial Center, and a new connected building at the current Union Bank location. This study clearly illustrates a blend of new and rehabilitated historic buildings that will create an excellent, convenient, and secure facility. The proposal addresses all the current and future needs of both the city and the county.
