On Thursday, February 19, 2026, James Madison University’s Dr. Dennis Blanton, graduate Skylar Rogers, and senior Calvin Boulier gave a preservation talk, “Archaeology of the Cabell Log House.” Dr. Dennis Blanton reviewed the archaeological shovel testing his students completed in the fall of 2025, Skylar presented the findings from the surface collection she completed over the winter of 2026 of the crawlspace, and Calvin introduced his upcoming research project, “Cultural Landscape of the Cabell Log House.”
