and Presentation of the Preservation Awards,
4 pm at the R.R. Smith Center at 20 S. New Street.
The R.R. Smith Center for History and Art, named for R.R. “Jake” Smith, is housed in what was the Eakleton Hotel, designed in 1894 by noted local architect T.J. Collins.

About the Awards
HSF’s Preservation Awards feature outstanding rehabilitation projects and revitalization efforts within our community.
In 1978, HSF presented its first preservation award for excellence in restoration. Over the years, with increased interest in preservation, the awards have expanded to multiple categories. Annually, a call for nominations is made and an Awards Committee reviews the nominations and makes the final determinations.
