The Frank & G.G. Pancake Preservation Fund

The Frank and G.G. Pancake Preservation Fund is a revolving fund dedicated for the stabilization and rehabilitation of historic properties. Revolving funds are managed to allow the purchase of real estate that is historically important to the community such as HSF's purchase, rehabilitation, and sale of the Sears House in the 1970's.  Another example is the purchase of properties that are historic and strategically important to a neighborhood but have fallen into disrepair. Through stabilization and/or rehabilitation, the properties will spur revitalization of the neighborhood. Through the resale of the properties, the Preservation Fund will be replenished and ready to be put in action once again.

HSF also intends to use the Pancake Preservation Fund properties as workshops to teach traditional, quality craft skills during the rehabilitation process.  HSF must actively encourage and provide a forum for the training of contractors, project managers, and students of trades in construction practices that ensure preservation of building materials unique to historic architecture.
